Sun or Ascendant in Aquarius with Ray 7

.

Sun Aquarius (or Ascendant Aquarius), R7P (or R7S)
Plus Constellationally Transmitted R5

A strong mutual reinforcement of ray and astrological energies emerges expressing through the transmission of the seventh ray through Uranus, the exoteric and a veiled hierarchical ruler of Aquarius, and through the seventh ray {probably personality} component of Jupiter {esoteric ruler}, and the seventh ray resonances of the Moon, the hierarchical ruler of Aquarius.

The principal category of reinforcement would be Strong by Rulership—Class 1, but there are resonances for Class 2 {through the probable personality ray of Jupiter—the esoteric ruler} and for Class 3, through Uranus as a veiled hierarchical ruler. At the stage of development when it is possible to respond to Uranus as a veiled ruler of Aquarius, it may be that the first ray—the monadic ray of Uranus—would be even more powerful and important than the second. From the decanate perspective, not much is happening. Seventh ray resonances from Saturn may be slightly effective.)

Selfish, Self-Centered or Self-Serving Human Being

Selfish, Self-centered or Self-Serving Human Being

i.    The pre-individual, group identification of the self-interested Aquarius person combines with a superficial formalism induced within the insufficiently spiritualized personality by the seventh ray.

ii.     Indistinct individuality.

iii.    Leveling. Everyone is the same. The “tall poppy syndrome”. If they stand out above the others, “cut their heads off”.

iv.     Regimentation in the group life. Communism as it has been practiced in the twentieth century.

v.     Being the same but thinking one is different. Inter-group eccentricity; intra-group standardization.

vi.    Sectarianism. Group homogeneity, but separating from other homogeneous groups.

vii.     “Club consciousness”. More primitively, tribalism. “My friends and I are all alike, and that’s the way I like it”.

viii.   Group uniformity. Cultural uniformity.

ix.    Group ‘conditioning’. The rapid spread of conditions within the group context. “Now they are all doing it”.

x.    The overly-regulated life. Group sameness crushes out individual expression.

xi.    ‘Welfarism’ robs the group member of the incentive for individual initiative. Hence, social stagnation.

Advanced Human Being; Aspirant; Disciple: Additionally, where relevant, combine Ascendant Sign with the ray of either the ray of the personality or soul.

Advanced Human Being; Aspirant; Disciple

i.    The group creativity and skillful understanding of groups characteristic of the advancing Aquarius individual combines with a thorough knowledge of constructive group process induced within the spiritually unfolding personality by the seventh ray.

ii.     Socialism. Social democracy.

iii.     Understanding the value of practical sharing and distribution.

iv.     Attempting to solve humanity’s economic problems.

v.     Social programs to promote the welfare of the larger group. Well-organized humanitarianism.

vi.     Growing social responsibility. The realization: “touch one, touch all”.

vii.     On the Path of Discipleship: valuing and developing group consciousness. (This is aided by the second ray.)

viii.    On the Path of Discipleship: deep-seated realization that one “travels not alone”.

ix.     On the Path of Discipleship: understanding the rules of healthy group functioning, and applying oneself to those rules.

x.     On the Path of Discipleship: intra- and inter-group innovation. Finding new methods of cooperation and co-creativity.

xi.     On the Path of Discipleship: learning group mind, group love and group will.

xii.     On the Path of Discipleship: learning ashramic responsiveness.

xiii.    On the Path of Discipleship: learning the practical meaning of “breaking bread together”.

Advanced Disciple; the Initiate: Additionally, where relevant, combine Ascendant Sign with the ray as either the ray of the personality or soul.

Advanced Disciple; the Initiate
Additionally, where relevant, combine Ascendant Sign, Aquarius, with the seventh ray as either the ray of the personality or soul.

i.    The power to be responsive to the ashram and to promote ashramic consciousness  within one’s group—a power increasingly possessed by the soul-infused disciple/initiate born in or under the sign Aquarius, combines with a growing ability to link the “highest” and the “lowest” (first the soul and personality and, next, the spirit and the soul-infused personality)—a power induced within the soul or spiritualized personality by the seventh ray.

ii.     Hierarchy (Aquarius) on Earth (seventh ray). The “Externalization of the Hierarchy”.

iii.      Following the laws, rules and methods by which “heaven” may manifest on “earth”. Cooperatively and rhythmically manifesting the “Highest” within the “Lowest”.

iv.     Living according the Seven Laws of Group Life—the Laws of the Soul.

v.     Group mind, group love and group will in a high state of development.

vi.     Integrated group life demonstrating group soul.

vii.     Living according to the Rules for Disciples and Initiates.

viii.    Practical and effective group service in affiliation with the Ashram.

ix.     Truly creative, innovative groups, structured in a way which reflects their higher counterpart—Hierarchy.

x.     Groups which are actually externalizations of the Ashram.

xi.     Groups which are at once hierarchical and brotherly.

xii.     Producing the group disciple and the group initiate.

Aquarius

In Comparison With

R7

1.     Transmits principally R5 constellationally

1.     R7

2.     Transmits principally R7, R2 and R4 (plus R1, R6, R7) through its veiled and unveiled planetary rulers

2.     R7

3.     Colors: turquoise (given by D.K.) and possibly (on a hypothetical color-scale incrementally related to the chromatic musical scale) indigo, indigo violet, or violet. (A color-chromatic scale has fourteen steps and a musical chromatic scale only twelve—hence the discrepancies and alternatives.)

3.     Colors: violet and purple

4.     Note: Possibly B flat

4.     Note: TI or B

5.     Expresses universally through all centers but especially through the sacral center via Uranus and heart center via Jupiter. Expression via the heart in the head and, pervasively, through the entire head center is also likely. Basal center expression via the Moon/Uranus (fire of matter) is also likely.

5.     Expresses through the sacral center and also (at a later stage of evolution) through the base of the spine center. Additionally, throat center expression is found in disciples

6.     Creative Hierarchy number VII/XII, unliberated

6.     Creative Hierarchy number V, liberating, and Creative Hierarchy number VII/XII, unliberated

7.     Hypothesized as especially expressive in relation to the Mineral Kingdom via the Moon/Uranus, the Human Kingdom via Uranus and R5, the Kingdom of Souls via Jupiter and R5, the Kingdom of Solar Lives via Vulcan and Uranus.

7.     Relates to the Kingdom of Solar Lives and the Mineral Kingdom

8.     Fluidity and constant motion

8.     Initial rigidity, developing into greater flexibility as the ages pass

9.     Initial dispersion of forces. Later, coordination follows

9.     Always tends towards organization and consolidation

10.   More mental in its emphasis—associated with the Universal Mind

10.   More executive and manifestational in its emphasis

11.   May be nervy, shocking and impolite

11.   Usually has politeness, polish and social correctness

12.   Overthrowing the established order

12.   Often the bulwark of the established order—the “pillar of society”. Found mummifying the old.

13.   Thus, most often progressive and interested in the institution of the new

13.   Often found upholding and conserving past structures (under its Saturnian aspect), but equally, involved in that which is forward looking and progressive (under its Uranian aspect)

14.   Abruptness, suddenness, angularity, shocking, odd, eccentric

14.   Smooth, traveling in established channels, operating according to standard procedure, much more respect for continuity

15.   Disruptive of rhythm

15.   Preserving rhythm

16.   Anti-ritualistic (in its more third ray, fifth ray, Uranian mode of expression)

16.   The Ritualist (DN 145)

17.   Initially leveling and anti-hierarchical

17.   Creates and maintains hierarchical structures

Discover Potentials to be Derived from Energetic Similarities

Discover Potentials to be Derived from
Energetic Similarities Between Aquarius and R7

Utilize these similarities to further understand how these two energies may combine with or reinforce each other (for better of for worse) when they are found within the same energy system.

A.      Energies of Externalization: This is a remarkable combination of energies—occurring together now for the seventh time in the history of the Aryan Age. Both are related to the process of manifestation and externalization. Together they signal the manifestation and externalization of the Kingdom of the Soul upon Earth.

B.     Connected to the Lowest Creative Hierarchy: Both influences are connected to the lowest of the Creative Hierarchies, through which manifestation must occur. The “Baskets of Nourishment” are governed by Aquarius and the Moon as it veils Uranus—transmitting the seventh ray. (cf. EA 35)

C.     Prana and the Etheric Body: Both influences are related to the etheric body. Prana and the etheric body can be considered the seventh principle (depending upon how one counts principles), and electrical Aquarius has been shown to be connected with this third vehicle of the personality. Interestingly if one begins by assigning Aries to the lower mental plane (which is certainly legitimate—“I come forth and from the plane of mind, I rule”, and then assigns watery Pisces to the emotional level, Aquarius is assigned to the etheric level and Capricorn to the dense physical level. This assignment makes perfect sense and does the assignment of signs which, beginning with Aries, moves counterclockwise through the signs and ends by assigning Cancer to the dense physical plane.

D.     Promoting Synthesis: Both Aquarius and the seventh ray are energies which promote synthesis, and especially synthesis as it is found upon the seventh or physical plane. It is a detailed synthesis involving the coordination of many specific factors and energies.

E.     Promoting Group Consciousness: Both Aquarius and the seventh ray promote group consciousness and organism (rather than strictly, organization). They are both active in producing organizations as well, but on a higher turn of the spiral they become adept at producing more subtle and subjective structures.

F.      Social Concern: Both Aquarius and the seventh ray are energies which are deeply concerned about the structure of society, the social order. Many social experiments will occur under these two influences.

G.     Division of Labor: Similar, both are involved with promoting the right division of labor.

H.     Linking and Relating Agents: Both Aquarius and the seventh ray are linking and relating agents.

I.    Magic and the Magician: Both Aquarius and the seventh ray create the magician of the New Age.

J.     Principle of Hierarchy: Both energies are related to the principle of hierarchy, and to the Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet. Organization within the Hierarchy is sevenfold, with each of the seven divisions further subdivided into seven. From the Aquarian perspective, the Hierarchy is a  brotherhood  (Aquarius) with a life-giving circulation of vital energies between all parts. We might say that Aquarius upholds more the horizontal dimension of interplay within Hierarchy, and the seventh ray is more related to the vertical dimension.

K.     Purification and Cleansing at the Second Initiation: If the symbolism of the second initiation is studied, it can be understood how both Aquarius and the seventh ray may be involved. Aquarius provides the purification and cleansing which is characteristic of this initiation. Also, love must enter the heart more fully and the astral body be filled with love rather than desire. All this equates to brotherhood, fellowship and group consciousness, of which the seventh ray is a well-known facilitator.
